In the United States of America

  • 1 person in 300 have HIV
  • 1 in 20 have Hepatitis
  • 1 in 5 have Herpes and many more have the Other infectious diseases like: TB, Staph, HBV, HPS, H. Capsulatum, HEP A, B, C, D, E, G, and Influenzas that are easily transmitted by blood and other body fluids and some are airborne and live on surfaces touched by others.
  • Infection can occur through openings in the skin, eye's, nose, mouth, and lungs.
  • Viruses can be airborne.
  • Viruses can be transmitted by insects that walk or land on contaminated blood, and then land or walk on a exposes area's of a secondary victim.

Public Safety Risks

Viruses can live up to several weeks in dried blood.  You cannot see blood born hazards with the naked eye, but they can greatly diminish the quality of life of those that contract them and can even lead to death.
